Our Beginnings

The garage has been on Crescent Ave since 1919. It once housed dentist’s office, doctors offices, and even a drug store. After multiple owners Patricia Bonecutter bought the space in 2002 and Summit City Car Care was born.

As a woman who had faced a share of unfair treatment from car repair shops, Patricia wanted Summit City Car Care to be a space women felt safe. Our shop follows the golden rule, “Do unto other as you would want to be treated.” Our team wants every person who comes in to be treated with honesty and respect. After years of running the business, Patricia hopes to retire soon and pass the shop along to the current employees, who are all passionate about the business and will carry on the legacy and mission.

Your service technician didn't have to cross the street to the credit union to jump his car, but he did. Didn't have to get his vehicle into the shop immediately to check for issues, but you did.
